It Gives You That Extra Hand!

Tape-Ease™ is a set of products that began with a few pieces of scrap material glued together to help measure 20 ft. length of PVC. Four years ago a few of us got together, and decided to make the product(s) a reality.

Tape-Ease™ was invented in 2001, (and then we received our Utility Patent in Jan. 2005, US Pat No. 6,839.981) for the "Tape-measure attachments". We then designed, prototyped, tested (stepped on, dropped, ran over them with a truck, etc.) then re-engineered (changing the materials again) to make them summertime-"hot truck"-heat resistant, and able to be left out in the hot sun without changing shape.

In other words, we think we have created a really useful, versatile, and tough set of tools that are affordable and simple to use. Since we are a small group of people working in the various construction trades, we have had a few years to gather feedback about the Tape-Ease™ products.

We originally designed the set for the Fat 1 1/4" tapes, and even though we still make those, we have found that the True 1" (25mm) tapes are what most people on the jobsites are using. As far as the 3/4" wide tapes that are in use, we have found that those are not used for longer distance measuring, but for those 2-6 ft. measures which don't lend themselves to frustrated measuring situations.

The "major" brands of tape measures are what we fashioned and modeled our molds to accommodate. Since we don't want to "rock the boat", and say one brand in better that another we won't mention names, but it's not like we don't have opinions or anything!

Out products work.
Since we are found of working by ourselves, whether it be on a jobsite, or on the weekend at home, we've discovered something that saves us time and money, and now it is available to everyone. Try out 1" Tape-Ease™ models: TE-11 with the Pipe-Grip tongue, and TE-12 with the Rubber-Grip, for multi-purpose use.
